New Balance and The Cottage Project

As part of New Balance's Experience centre for the London 2012 Olympics (more here),  I was asked, as part of The Cottage Project, to design and screen-print a t-shirt exploring New Balance's collection of shoes that are made in Flimby, UK.

The t-shirt is being produced and printed live in the Experience Centre in The Millbank Tower, giving visitors the chance to have a go themselves. It has been great to screen-print with such an amazing view of London!

The Cottage Project is a micro-department store in New Cross Gate, South East London, launching in Autumn 2012 consisting of cafe, exhibition and shop space. They are passionate about the process of British making and enjoy sharing this with the community of artists they work with as well as the customers they serve. (More Here)

Also look out for James Jessiman's design as he is also creating and printing another T-shirt for the New Balance and Cottage Project Collaboration.

More photos of the design and making soon!
